RAUB, Sept 23 — The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost Living (KPDN) has increased its enforcement personnel to ensure better monitoring and control during the second phase of Op Jamin, aimed at focusing on the supply and price of rice in the market nationwide.

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 18 — The increase in imported white rice prices has been attributed to the consumer’s shift toward locally-produced white rice, causing its shortage.

PUTRAJAYA, Sept 2 — All padi millers and rice wholesalers have been asked to increase the supply of local white rice (BPT) by 20 per cent through the Local White Rice Special Programme, as one of the intervention measures to restore supply in the market, according to Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (MAFS).
